Edelrid Canary Pro Dry 8.6mm, neon green

The Edelrid Canary Pro Dry with an 8.6 mm diameter is a lightweight dynamic climbing rope in Neon Green. This version belongs to article range 71270 and is certified as a single, half and twin rope to EN 892. With a weight of 51 g per metre, it is intended for experienced climbers choosing a thin rope for suitably planned routes. Select the rope system and length to match the route and the rest of your belaying equipment.

The rope is made from polyamide, with a sheath proportion of 47% and a core proportion of 53%. Pro Dry treatment reduces water and dirt absorption. Edelrid specifies water absorption below 2% in the UIAA Water Repellent Test. This describes the treatment’s test result and does not replace inspection of the rope after use.

Observe the intended use

When used as a single rope, the Canary Pro Dry is not intended for working routes or top-rope climbing. Check particularly that your belay device is approved for this small rope diameter. Follow the rope and device instructions and take account of the experience required to handle thin ropes. Inspect the rope regularly as specified by the manufacturer, and follow Edelrid’s instructions for cleaning, storage and retirement.
