Salomon Junior Helmet Husk Kids MIPS Vibrant Yellow
Salomon Junior Helmet Husk Kids MIPS Vibrant Yellow
The Salomon Husk Kids MIPS in Vibrant Yellow is a children's ski and snowboard helmet. Its In-Mold construction combines a polycarbonate outer shell with an impact-absorbing EPS liner. Salomon's EPS4D construction works alongside the MIPS system, which is designed to reduce rotational motion in certain angled impacts. A helmet cannot prevent every injury.
The Custom Dial at the rear adjusts the fit around the head. V-shaped ear pads form part of the MaxFit construction. Choose a size using the child's measured head circumference: S, also labelled KS, covers 49–53 cm, while M or KM covers 53–56 cm. Try the helmet on with the ski goggles to check that it sits evenly without pressure points or slipping.
Fixed ventilation openings and internal Airflow channels support air circulation. The openings on this model cannot be adjusted. The liner can be removed and washed according to the manufacturer's care instructions. A rear retainer holds the goggle strap.
Check the shell, impact liner, straps and buckle before use. Replace the helmet after a significant impact, even if the outside looks undamaged. Recheck the fit regularly as the child grows. Follow the supplied instructions when adjusting the helmet and fastening the chin strap.

Size help
Which helmet size fits?
Measure your head and compare it with the size range for this helmet model. Check the fit around your head shape when trying it on.
A reviewed size recommendation is not yet available for this model. Use the measuring guide to prepare, then ask our team for help choosing.
Check when trying on
- The helmet should fit snugly without pressure points. Follow the manufacturer’s fitting instructions.
- It should stay in place when you gently shake your head. Check the adjusted chin strap too.
- Try it with your goggles. The helmet should fit with them without pushing them down.
Measure your head circumference
- Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of your head, above your eyebrows and ears.
- Keep the tape level and close to your head without pulling tight. Read the measurement in centimetres.
- Repeat the measurement. Without a tape measure, use string and measure its length afterwards.
