Völkl Peregrine 78 + Lowride 11 TCX Binding - 2026/27

The new Peregrine 78: versatile and supportive!

This season, the new Peregrine 78 is the ideal option for all all-mountain skiers for whom fun on the piste comes first and comfort must not be neglected. Fast, nimble and keen to turn, it prefers mixed to firm conditions on medium slopes and impresses there with maximum versatility. The Multilayer Woodcore, newly fitted as part of the revision, provides lower weight and additional pop. The switch from the foam core of the predecessor model to a solid wood core gives the ski improved sportiness, offers more stability at higher speeds and is also an important step towards greater sustainability. Thanks to the 3D Radius sidecut, the Peregrine 78 now also impresses with outstanding agility and puts a smile on the face of lovers of short, crisp turns in particular. With the proven Lowride Integrated Binding System, the Peregrine 78 now also offers a wide, light and lowered binding that further improves manoeuvrability in tight turn radii and, thanks to the TCX heel piece, reduces the effort needed to step in. Identical in construction to its bigger siblings, the Peregrine 80 and 82, the system has been fitted for the first time on a ski under 80 mm. Direct integration into the wood core also ensures improved power transmission from the binding to the ski.

SPECIFICATIONS

• Tip & Tail Rocker: Character: Rocker only in the tip and tail areas, pre-tension in the binding area
• 3D Multilayer Woodcore: By combining different types of wood and wood constructions, an ideal balance between weight, strength, durability and damping is achieved. Stronger, heavier wood is used where power transmission, edge grip and torsional stability are required; lighter, softer wood is used in less stressed areas to reduce weight and improve smooth running.
• 3D Radius Sidecut: Three radii in one ski for maximum edge angle and speed.
• Full Sidewall ABS: The specific synthetic material of the sidewall enables precise and direct power transmission.
• 3D. Glass: Compared with classic glass constructions, the three-dimensional, multiply folded glass layers in the tip and tail areas provide improved edge grip and a more dynamic rebound in turns.
• Glass Frame: The Glass Frame gives a wide range of skiers effortless access to dynamics and sportiness, while also providing stability and shock absorption in the tip and tail of the ski.
• Base P-TEX 2100: Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties.
• Zebra Structure: The Zebra structure was developed for the highest precision on the piste and features a deep, high-resolution base pattern tailored specifically to narrower skis fitted with a binding system. This aggressive structure ensures lightning-fast, reliable turn initiation and smooth, controlled drifting for maximum carving performance.
• Serial Finish: Straight from the factory to the piste: with the "Serial Finish", every ski is tuned perfectly for instant performance. This precisely executed surface treatment maximises gliding comfort, ensures more precise turn initiation and makes additional preparation unnecessary.
• Lowride System: Lowride bindings are designed for mounting in combination with selected ski models of the Peregrine and Shine series. They are suitable for the following standard ski boot soles: adult alpine ski boots according to DIN ISO 5355 / adult alpine ski boots according to DIN ISO 23223 with the additional marking "GripWalk®"
