Scarpa Velocity, black/ottanio

The Scarpa Velocity in Black/Ottanio is a comfort-oriented men’s climbing shoe with two hook-and-loop straps. Reference 70041-M/0416 identifies this version. Its largely neutral shape avoids a pronounced downturn and is intended for climbers seeking a comfortably fitting all-round shoe for regular indoor sessions and suitable routes at the crag.

The synthetic microfibre upper has a low-seam construction around the toes. Two straps allow adjustment over the instep and make it easier to put the shoes on and take them off between attempts. A 4 mm Scarpa Vision rubber sole complements the construction. The shoe should fit closely enough for controlled foot placements without causing painful pressure. Appropriate fit depends on foot shape and the way you intend to use it.

Try both shoes and test different foot positions on suitable footholds. Select the size according to the actual fit rather than your everyday shoe size alone. For longer sessions, assess pressure around the instep, heel and toes carefully. Gently brush dry dirt from the sole and follow Scarpa’s care instructions. Air the shoes after climbing and allow them to dry at room temperature. Inspect the straps, upper and soles regularly so that wear becomes apparent early.
