La Sportiva Tarantula Women's Topaz

The La Sportiva Tarantula Woman in Topaz is a climbing shoe for beginners and regular indoor training. Its neutral shape and cross-over hook-and-loop closure make it straightforward to put on, remove and adjust around the foot. The upper is made from suede leather. An insert at the front absorbs perspiration and complements the construction in an area exposed to regular use.

This version, manufacturer reference ZFCS157B24B24, has a 1.8 mm LaSpoFlex midsole and a 4 mm FriXion Black outsole. For the ZFCS157 version, the manufacturer lists 210 g per shoe in size 37. This reference figure is neither a pair weight nor a figure for every size. The outsole is designed to be resoled, provided the condition of the shoe still allows that repair.

Choose your size through a careful fitting. Your toes should be controlled and your foot should not move inside the shoe when standing on a foothold. A neutral model shape does not mean that every foot shape will automatically fit. Use the straps for an even hold and loosen them during breaks if needed. Air the shoes after training and dry them away from direct heat. Check the rubber edges for wear before more extensive damage makes repair difficult.
