La Sportiva - Tarantula Boulder Woman

The La Sportiva Tarantula Boulder Woman in Ice/Crystal is a women’s climbing shoe for getting started with bouldering and indoor training. Reference ZFCS144W01B35 identifies this colour version. Two opposing hook-and-loop straps allow quick closure and adjustment over the instep. Its comfort-oriented shape provides an alternative to strongly aggressive climbing shoes, while individual foot shape still determines whether it fits.

The upper uses suede leather. The construction includes lining at the front, a LaSpoFlex midsole and a split FriXion rubber sole. Rubber coverage at the toe and a heel designed around bouldering movements support contact during toe and heel hooks. The split sole is intended to provide movement and a direct feel on footholds. When the sole wears, a suitable specialist can assess its condition and the possibility of resoling.

Try both shoes and pay particular attention to heel retention, toe position and how the straps distribute pressure. Select size according to foot shape, experience and intended use. Air the shoes after climbing and let them dry without strong direct heat. Carefully remove dirt from the sole and hook-and-loop surfaces, and regularly inspect the more heavily used rubber areas for wear.
