La Sportiva Stickit Climbing Shoe

The La Sportiva Stickit is a climbing shoe for children taking their first steps on indoor walls or rock. This green-and-yellow version is model ZFCS096-X00X00. Its design focuses on easy entry and a fit that can be adjusted around a child's foot. It should feel secure enough for controlled foot placements without causing pain.

The suede upper is made without an additional lining, and there is no separate midsole. A 3.5 mm FriXion rubber sole provides the contact surface on holds, while rubber around the toe protects the front of the shoe. The textile entry section wraps softly around the foot and helps with putting the shoe on.

An adjustable lacing and hook-and-loop system lets you vary tension around the foot. It can accommodate changes in a growing foot within the shoe's available fit. Even so, check toe position and internal space regularly. Adjustability does not replace another fitting when the child's feet have grown.

The shop offers size labels 26, 28, 30, 32 and 34. Make the final choice through fitting and a few controlled foot placements. After climbing, open the shoe, air it and let it dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. Remove loose dirt gently and inspect the sole, closure and stitching regularly for wear.
