Scarpa Mescalito - Sage/Gray

The men's Scarpa Mescalito in Sage/Gray is a low-cut approach shoe for technical paths, hikes and via ferrata routes. Its construction combines a precisely adjustable fit with protection around the lower part of the shoe. It is aimed at mountain users seeking supportive footwear on approaches and rocky sections.

Water-repellent suede forms the upper, while the tongue and collar include elastic textile. Lacing extends towards the toes to allow targeted forefoot adjustment. A rubber toe cap and TPU Tech protection complement the design. The midsole combines different densities of EVA with a TPU insert that helps control twisting. Beneath it is a Dynamis LB sole incorporating Vibram Litebase and Megagrip rubber.

Try the shoes with your intended socks and check foot hold and toe room on an incline. Longer walks require adequate space in front of the toes. Match the route and equipment to your abilities and the conditions. Footwear alone does not replace the equipment needed for a via ferrata. After a trip, brush away loose dirt and clean the suede gently. Let the shoes dry at room temperature and use suitable leather care products. Check the tread, laces and protective rand for wear before further outings.
