SCARPA - GENERATOR - midgrey

The SCARPA Generator in Midgrey is a lace-up climbing shoe for trad and multi-pitch routes. This low-cut version combines a padded upper with a supportive construction for longer sessions on rock. For climbing cracks and standing on small footholds, its materials, lacing and sole are designed around those demands.

The upper uses 2 mm chrome-free suede. The lacing is designed for protection when crack climbing and allows the fit to be adjusted along the foot. A full-length, 4 mm Vibram XS Edge sole supports edging on small holds. The model can be professionally resoled when the outsole reaches the appropriate stage of wear.

At the heel, the PAF system distributes tension. The Tri-Tension system supports the foot under load while allowing movement for smearing. Correct sizing remains essential: try the shoe for your intended use and check the fit around the heel and forefoot, rather than relying solely on your everyday shoe size.

Air the shoes after climbing and let them dry away from direct heat. Gently remove loose dirt and inspect the sole and rand regularly for wear. Seeking advice about resoling before the rand becomes heavily worn can help you plan maintenance. This grey version comes with contrasting laces.
