La Sportiva Finale Women Clay/Topaz

The La Sportiva Finale Women in Clay/Topaz is a lace-up climbing shoe for gym training and longer sessions on rock. It combines a comfort-focused fit with support when standing on small footholds. This makes it an option for newcomers as well as experienced climbers who prefer a less aggressive shoe for extended routes.

The unlined suede upper can gradually adapt to the foot with use. Laces let you adjust the fit along the length of the shoe. Its revised heel construction focuses on comfort, while the padded tongue softens contact beneath the laces. Two pull loops make the shoe easier to put on before a climb.

A full-length, 1.1 mm LaSpoFlex midsole provides support. The 5 mm Vibram XS Edge outsole uses a compound developed to retain its shape when edging on small holds. La Sportiva lists a weight of 225 g per shoe for the women's version. Choose the size by trying the shoe on: a fixed rule for downsizing will not suit every foot or climbing preference.

Air the shoes after climbing before putting them back in your pack. Clean the rubber soles with a damp cloth when needed and allow them to dry away from direct sunlight. Check the toe area regularly for wear. Resoling early through an authorised specialist can help avoid further damage to the rubber rand and extend the useful life of the shoe.
