Aragon Woman clay/hibiscus

The La Sportiva Aragon Woman in Clay/Hibiscus is a climbing shoe for beginners and anyone looking for straightforward comfort in the gym or at the crag. Two hook-and-loop straps make it easy to put on and adjust around the foot. The upper uses unlined suede leather in a tubular construction. The leather can adapt to the foot with use, although selecting the correct starting size remains important.

A 4 mm FriXion Black sole balances grip and resistance to abrasion for regular climbing. The manufacturer’s reference weight is 200 g for one shoe in size 37, rather than for a complete pair. Other sizes may differ. Try on both shoes and check for an even fit without painful pressure points. A fixed size adjustment from your everyday footwear is no substitute for trying this particular model.

Open the straps when taking the shoes off rather than pulling them off with the closures fastened. Remove loose dust and dirt after climbing, and leave the shoes open to dry in a ventilated place. Avoid direct radiator heat and prolonged storage in a damp bag. Inspect the rubber regularly for wear so that a specialist can assess possible resoling before extensive damage develops.
