Ocun Advancer QC

The Ocun Advancer QC is a climbing shoe for varied use indoors and on rock. This dark-blue version combines a relatively flat profile with an asymmetric shape and medium volume. It is aimed at climbers seeking a balance of support and comfort for different types of routes.

Two opposing hook-and-loop straps allow quick adjustment over the foot. The upper uses microfibre. A stiff 2D Fit Hard midsole complements the construction, while the CAT Rubber 1.5 outsole has four millimetres of rubber. Advantic is the name of the last. A rubber band around the heel supports the lateral fit. Ocun highlights Greek and more square-shaped toe profiles as potentially suitable foot types; a personal fitting remains essential.

Try both shoes and look for even contact without painful pressure points. Carefully test standing on small footholds and assess heel security. Open the straps sufficiently when putting the shoes on or taking them off to avoid unnecessary strain on the material. Brush off dry dust after climbing and let the shoes air thoroughly. Avoid strong heat while drying. Inspect the sole edge regularly so you can recognise significant wear early and assess any potential resoling before damage progresses.
