The CMP Kids Melnick Mid WP in Blue/Fuxia is a mid-cut walking boot for children. Its blue upper and pink accents suit days on walking trails and active time outdoors. This shop offers sizes 28 to 37. The design draws on the adult Melnick, with a closure and construction adapted for younger wearers.

The upper combines suede with additional reinforcing materials. A CLIMA PROTECT membrane provides the boot's waterproof layer. A protective toe bumper covers the front area, which is exposed to contact with rough ground during a walk. The mid-cut shaft extends above the ankle and provides more coverage than the low-cut Melnick version.

A speed-lacing system with a stopper makes it easier to adjust the fit. The patterned rubber outsole uses CMP's FullOn Grip compound. CMP lists a weight of 325 g per shoe for this model, without specifying a reference size. Actual weight can vary with the chosen size.

Have your child try both boots with the intended walking socks. Check space in front of the toes and heel hold while walking. After an outing, remove loose dirt, open the lacing and allow the boots to air. Follow the product's instructions for further cleaning and care.
