Skylotec Climbing Technology Tondo SGL HC

The Skylotec Tondo SGL HC is an HMS carabiner with a screw gate and an integrated ACL wire positioning bar. It belongs to reference family H-6034 and is offered here with a blue or orange locking sleeve. The wire bar helps retain the carabiner’s position at the intended connection point. It does not replace correct orientation or checking the complete connection.

The hot-forged aluminium construction has a contoured profile and rounded contact areas. Its catch-free nose assists clipping and unclipping without a conventional hook-shaped nose. Skylotec specifies a weight of 75 g and a 22 mm gate opening for the SGL HC version. The generous HMS shape provides room for the rope and device applications specified by the manufacturer. Check compatibility with your particular belay device and the remaining components.

Lock the screw sleeve according to the instructions and check the gate before each use. Avoid incorrect loading and do not rely solely on the positioning bar. Inspect the body, gate, thread and wire bar for damage, wear or restricted movement. Use the carabiner with the required training and follow Skylotec’s requirements for inspection, service life and retirement. Clean and store it as instructed, away from aggressive substances and persistent moisture.
