Edelrid Pure Straight III slate

The Edelrid Pure Straight III in Slate is an aluminium carabiner with a straight gate and Keylock nose geometry. It is intended for use in suitable climbing and quickdraw systems. The Keylock nose reduces snagging on ropes and slings when clipping or unclipping. Its straight gate is non-locking; Keylock describes the closure geometry.

The offset D shape and H-profile place material efficiently in loaded areas. Edelrid uses 7075 T6 aluminium. The carabiner measures 97 millimetres in length and has a 20-millimetre gate opening. Its stated breaking strengths are 22 kilonewtons along the major axis, eight kilonewtons across the minor axis and eight kilonewtons with the gate open. The model is certified to EN 12275.

Choose it for the intended application and follow Edelrid's instructions. Before each use, check that the gate moves freely and closes fully. Maintain the correct loading direction and avoid unfavourable cross-loading caused by other equipment. Inspect for sharp edges, notches, deformation and wear. Clean and store it according to the manufacturer's guidance. This offer includes a single carabiner; ropes and quickdraw slings are not included.
