DMM PerfectO Screwgate

The DMM PerfectO Screwgate is a compact oval carabiner with a manually operated locking sleeve. Its symmetrical shape supports centred loading at suitable connection points. Rounded rope-bearing surfaces and a keylock nose are part of the design. According to DMM, version A592 measures 56 × 95 mm and weighs 60 g.

Selection and use

Check that shape and opening suit the intended devices and connection points. The three strength figures refer to different loading directions and an open gate; they are not interchangeable ratings. Follow the DMM instructions and the manuals for every connected component when selecting an arrangement. Climbing equipment requires competent instruction and appropriate experience.

Care and inspection

Inspect the body, gate and locking sleeve according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Look for wear or deformation and check that locking is complete. Keep the mechanism clean and use recommended care products. After unusual loading, or if its history is uncertain, have suitability for further use assessed.
