Edelrid HMS Strike Screw FG silver

The silver Edelrid HMS Strike Screw FG is a compact HMS carabiner with a screw gate. Its integrated wire keeper helps hold the connector in the intended position during belaying. The model is intended for climbing applications where its shape and operation match the belay device and harness. Check compatibility of the complete equipment arrangement against the relevant user instructions.

The aluminium body uses an H-profile construction to limit material use and weight. A Keylock nose makes clipping and unclipping easier by reducing snagging on loops. It measures 98 millimetres long and 67 millimetres wide. Edelrid specifies breaking strengths of 22 kilonewtons on the major axis, eight across the minor axis and seven with the gate open. The model is made to EN 12275.

Before each use, inspect the body, gate, screw sleeve and wire keeper. The keeper assists positioning but does not replace checking the loading direction. Fully tighten the sleeve and check the closure after clipping. The stated breaking strengths are not working-load ratings for arbitrary applications. Clean and store the carabiner according to the manufacturer's instructions, and have damaged or unusually stiff components assessed by a competent person. This offer includes one carabiner; it does not include a belay device or climbing harness.
