Edelrid HMS Bulletproof Triple FG icemint

The Edelrid HMS Bulletproof Triple FG in Icemint is an HMS carabiner with a three-action locking gate and an integrated wire keeper. Reference 73815/329 identifies this version. Its aluminium body has a steel insert at the crown, where rope friction or contact with equipment can occur. The insert reduces premature wear in this area. The wire keeper supports positioning within the intended belay system rather than replacing correct system setup.

The Triple Lock gate opens through three movements. A Keylock nose makes clipping and unclipping easier without a projecting nose hook. Dimensions are 89 × 110 mm and gate opening is 24 mm. Manufacturer breaking-strength ratings are 25 kN along the major axis with the gate closed, and 9 kN across the minor axis or with the gate open. These test ratings are not working loads and do not replace correct use or inspection of the complete connection.

Before every use, check the body, gate, keeper and steel insert for damage and correct function. Follow the instructions and the compatibility requirements of the belay device used. Avoid cross-loading and confirm that the gate is fully locked. Have continued use assessed after damage or a significant fall. Keep the mechanism clean and store the carabiner dry according to the manufacturer’s guidance.
