Edelrid Bulletproof Screw - Icemint

The EDELRID Bulletproof Screw in Icemint is a compact screwgate carabiner with a steel insert at its apex. Where the rope or connection point bears on the carabiner, this insert adds a wear-resistant contact surface to the aluminium body. Its offset D shape and H-profile provide a compact construction with targeted use of material. The older manufacturer reference 73724 is documented as an EN 12275 type B carabiner.

A Keylock closure supports handling when clipping and unclipping by avoiding a protruding nose at the closure interface. Locking is manual, using the screw sleeve. Both gate and screw lock must be fully closed before loading. The steel insert does not replace this check or correct carabiner orientation. When selecting equipment, make sure the carabiner, connection point and other components suit the intended use together.

Using personal protective equipment requires appropriate knowledge and compliance with the manufacturer's instructions. Before use, inspect the body, gate, sleeve and contact surfaces for damage and correct operation. Avoid cross-loading and interference with the gate from other components. Clean dirty parts as directed and check them again. Remove the carabiner from use whenever its condition or function is doubtful rather than relying on the visible steel reinforcement alone.
