Jones Dream Weaver 2022/23
Description
The Dream Weaver Split is the new name for the Dream Catcher Split.
It is a high-performance splitboard with a playful flex.
It is the ideal split for backcountry riders seeking a playful board that is easy to ride in any terrain and under all snow conditions.
The directional shape and directional rocker profile of the Dream Weaver provide reliable stability on soft or rough snow.
On icy slopes or firm descents, the Inner/Outer Traction Tech 2.0 edges provide improved edge grip.
The Dream Weaver Split is constructed from high-quality materials including a super-fast and durable Sintered 8000 base, an Eco-Plastic topsheet, and a Classic Core specially profiled for additional pop.
The Dream Weaver Split comes with Karakoram Ultra Clips 1.0 and the new Boltless Bridge for 22/23, which eliminates hardware in the base for a rock-solid board connection in ride mode.
Shape Tech:
1. Inner and outer Traction Tech 2.0
Like a serrated knife cutting into snow, Traction Tech improves edge grip through multiple contact points across the full length of the board.
Inner edge Traction Tech:
The Traction Tech on the inner edge improves the edge grip of the splitboard during ascent.
Three sidecut bumps on each side of the binding keep you from slipping on icy slopes, no matter which direction you're riding.
2. Progressive sidecut
At the outermost ends of the sidecut, the radius is gradually increased as the edge reaches the contact point.
The gradual increase in sidecut radius toward the contact point provides a smoother turn initiation and exit, as the edge glides into and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
3. Quick-clamp rear clip
Built-in clamping system for the climbing skin with pre-punched notch, eliminating the need for a traditional tail clip.
4. Boltless bridge
The Boltless Bridge eliminates the split-clip fastening on the base of the board by re-profiling the wooden core at the clips.
The wooden core under the clips is thicker and provides better torsional stiffness and a stronger connection at the split clips.
Directional rocker:
A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker than tail rocker and camber between the bindings.
The rockered tip lets the nose of the board float and improves maneuverability, while the camber under your feet provides edge hold and response.
A slightly rockered tail provides the power and stability of a traditional board but helps prevent the tail from hanging up when initiating turns and landing switch.
