Black Diamond Ultralight Ice Screw

The Black Diamond Ultralight Ice Screw is a lightweight ice screw for alpinism, ski mountaineering and glacier travel. It combines an aluminium body with a steel tip. It is intended for users who select their equipment for alpine objectives with both function and carried weight in mind.

The forged aluminium hanger has two clip-in points. A folding Express handle with a wire mechanism assists handling and clicks into its open and closed positions. Different colours on the handles identify the lengths, making the versions easier to distinguish within your equipment.

Lengths of 13, 16, 19 and 22 cm are offered here. Black Diamond lists their weights as 74, 81, 89 and 96 g respectively. Choose the length according to the intended application and the actual ice conditions.
