Mountain Equipment Ion Bivi Bivvy Bag

The Mountain Equipment Ion Bivi is a lightweight, water-resistant bivi bag with a large hood. The red version, reference 27467/M019, uses DRILITE® Loft as its outer fabric. A mummy shape and shaped Shark Toe foot section follow the outline of a sleeping bag while providing room around the feet. Its stated 280 g weight and 17 × 10 cm packed size make it compact to carry in touring luggage.

Selection and use

Before a trip, check that your sleeping system fits inside with adequate room to move. Choose the sleeping site and other equipment for the weather, ground and planned overnight conditions. Water-resistant fabric still requires separate planning for prolonged rain. Keep the face opening clear and remember that moisture can build up even with breathable fabrics. Ventilate the setup as conditions allow.

Care and inspection

Dry and air the bivi thoroughly after use. Remove dirt gently and follow the care label for cleaning. Inspect seams, outer fabric and the hood drawcord for damage before packing it for another trip.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
