Size help
Which pole length do I need?
Alpine, touring, classic and skating need different pole lengths. For adjustable poles, check the usable length range.
A reviewed size recommendation is not yet available for this model. Use the measuring guide to prepare, then ask our team for help choosing.
Check when trying out
- The grip should feel secure in your hand while wearing your gloves.
- For adjustable poles, your working length must stay within the approved range. Follow the manufacturer’s markings and locking instructions.
- Use the separate guidance for classic and skating. Do not apply the alpine elbow check to Nordic poles.
Measure your height and check pole length
- Measure your height without shoes from the floor to the top of your head.
- Compare it with the manufacturer’s guidance for your sport. Packed length is the collapsed length for transport.
- For alpine poles: place the pole vertically and check that your upper and lower arm form roughly a right angle. Use separate sport-specific guidance for Nordic poles.

Description
The Atomic AMT JR in blue is a fixed-length children's pole for alpine skiing. Its aluminium shaft combines a straightforward construction with a grip designed for young skiers. This blue version belongs to model reference AJ5005784.
Atomic uses its 3* Aluminium Pole Technology together with an ergonomic single-material JR grip. The grip is designed for smaller hands, and the Essential strap is adjustable. Check the fit together with the child while they are wearing their usual ski gloves, so that the grip and strap remain comfortable and easy to handle.
The equipment includes a standard basket with a 50 mm diameter and a steel tip. The AMT JR comes in individual lengths and is not length adjustable. Choose the length to suit the child and their skiing ability. If uncertain, trying the poles in person or consulting a ski instructor or our specialist shop can help with the choice.
