KOHLA Alpinist PRO 130mm

The Kohla Alpinist PRO in 130-millimetre width is a cut-to-fit climbing skin for ski touring. Its 100 percent mohair pile combines glide along the track with grip for the ascent. It is an option for tourers who want to prepare skins around the shape of their skis and value an adaptable attachment system.

Smart Glue provides the renewable adhesive layer that holds the skin against the ski base. The Fiber Seal construction limits water entering the skin structure. Attachments include an interchangeable stainless-steel T-Bar 95 front bracket and an Elastic Strap for adjustment at the tail. The stated 130 millimetres is the starting width before trimming. It must suit the ski's sidecut and length, while both attachment points need to match the tip and tail shapes.

Before buying, compare ski length, skin length range and attachment compatibility. Have the initial trimming carried out professionally if needed, leaving the steel edges exposed. Check adhesion, front bracket and tail attachment before every tour. Remove snow from the ski base before applying the skins. Afterwards, let them dry in a ventilated place away from strong direct heat. Follow Kohla's instructions for storing the skins and caring for the adhesive layer.
