the Tailored Carbon Tip ensures very precise, direct and reliable response of the tip, allowing the athlete to ski a shorter and tighter radius to the gate.

the geometry additionally supports this and allows you to ski a shorter path before the gate and thus a tighter and faster turn at every gate. two layers of full titanal, the multi-layer wood core made from a mixture of beech and poplar wood and ABS side walls give the ski the necessary stability and dynamics so every athlete can reach their full potential.

TECHNOLOGY

Multilayer Woodcore 1:
the side wall continues in the form of extremely stable wood layers directly backed at the flanks of the sandwich core into the interior of the ski. in combination with more flexible, lighter wood in the middle of the sandwich core, this construction offers numerous advantages: the hardwood content within the side wall ensures increased power transmission, contributes to better edge grip and supports the edge under external impact. the softwood content in the ski middle provides greater agility and maneuverability due to its lower weight. the combination of both wood types along the entire ski length contributes to optimal stiffness distribution of the ski and enables more precise ski control. the construction offers high-level skiers a combination of maneuverability and stability, which can win those crucial hundredths of a second between victory and defeat.

Base P-Tex 4504:
Sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with extremely high density. P-Tex 4504 is not only particularly wear-resistant, it also offers the best wax absorption and is extremely fast. At Völkl, the base is used exclusively on our top models and race skis. The material composition has been refined with special additives. This creates thermal and electrical conductivity that consistently achieves peak performance in terms of glide and speed properties.

race finish:
for better grip in ultra-fast and tight turns, our World Cup skis have a new edge grind: the SL models have 0.7° at the base and 87.6° on the side. in GS, the base is 0.8°, the side is also 87.6°.

The specific synthetic material of the sidewall enables precise and direct power transfer.

titanal in the ski construction makes the ski lively and dynamic. especially lovers of hard, fast and aggressive style benefit from the responsiveness of this construction.

tailored carbon tips:
with the new, tailored carbon tips, individual carbon fibers are stitched onto a carrier material in this innovative manufacturing process. this allows them to be positioned exactly along the power lines, which opens up completely new possibilities, especially in the tip area. it has a decisive influence on the ski's handling. through fiber thickness and millimeter-precise alignment, stiffness, torsion and thus driving properties can be adjusted in a targeted manner. this way, dynamics are directed through the fibers to the areas of the ski where they are needed. the visibly integrated tailored carbon tips are light, enable agile tip engagement with less effort and build up energy quickly. this allows the tailored carbon tips to reach a new level in terms of precision, direct tip response and active driving pleasure.

3D.GLASS:
