Salewa Via Ferrata Durastretch Gloves

The Salewa Via Ferrata Durastretch are lightweight half-finger gloves for via ferrata and contact with rock. Open fingertips preserve feel when operating carabiners and other equipment, while the reinforced palm covers areas exposed during gripping. This black unisex version has a regular fit and comes in several sizes. Trying the gloves on helps you assess how they fit when opening and closing your hands.

Durastretch fabric combines polyamide with elastane for freedom of movement. An anatomically shaped hand and short, low-profile cuff are designed for a close fit. A hook-and-loop closure adjusts around the wrist. The DWR treatment provides water repellency; it does not turn these half-finger gloves into fully enclosed waterproof weather gloves. Salewa identifies the model as article 00-0000028091 in Black Out.

Choose a size that lets you grip without pulling the fabric tight or creating uncomfortable folds. Test the operation of your equipment before the outing. Afterwards, check the palms, seams and fastening for abrasion or damage, then let the gloves dry. Follow the care label. These gloves complement your equipment but do not replace the required safety system or the knowledge needed to use a via ferrata correctly.
