Merrell Trail Glove 7 - black/black

The Merrell Trail Glove 7 in Black/Black is a minimalist men's shoe for trail running and active everyday use. Manufacturer reference J037151 identifies this black version. Its low-profile construction provides relatively direct ground contact. Merrell Barefoot 2 construction is combined with a FloatPro foam midsole, while FLEXconnect grooves add flexibility to the sole unit. The combination is intended for people who prefer a flexible, close-to-the-ground feel over a more built-up shoe.

According to Merrell, the breathable mesh upper and lining use fully recycled material. The laces and webbing also use recycled fibres. A bellows tongue helps keep debris out, while an external rear sling supports heel hold. The integrated EVA footbed contains 30% recycled material, and the Vibram Ecostep Recycle outsole uses 30% recycled rubber. Actual traction still depends on the surface, moisture and your movement.

Try the shoes with your intended socks and check toe room, heel hold and even lace tension. If you usually wear more heavily cushioned footwear, begin with short sessions and increase use gradually. Remove dirt after use and let the mesh dry away from direct heat. Inspect the tread and upper regularly, especially in areas exposed to repeated abrasion.
