Petzl Summit ice axe


The SUMMIT ice axe, designed for classic mountaineering, offers excellent value for money.
The head and tip of the lightweight axe ensure good placement
and the curved shaft provides the necessary clearance for use in steep and icy terrain.
It can be used as a walking-axe, as a self-belay axe, or in short steep sections as a climbing axe.

Ergonomically shaped shaft:

Hot-forged steel adze and shovel ensure solid placement:

– the wider middle of the adze ensures hold in soft snow
– the teeth in the upper area of the adze improve the axe's hold when used as a self-belay axe
– the sturdy stainless steel tip facilitates penetration
  into hard snow and use as a walking-axe

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
