Reverse Mudfender Born to Ride

The Reverse Mudfender in the Born to Ride design is a lightweight splash guard for muddy mountain-bike rides. Its flexible plastic surface intercepts some of the dirt thrown up by the tyres. Depending on the bicycle and a suitable mounting arrangement, it can be used at the front or rear wheel. It can be trimmed to the required shape or length when necessary.

Selection and use

Check the mounting points and clearances on the particular bicycle. The guard must not touch the tyre or moving parts, including when the suspension operates. Position it before trimming and check clearance through the intended range of movement. Cut it only after establishing the correct arrangement. The different graphics serve the same purpose; for products with colour options, select the required version using the colour selector.

Care and checks

Gently rinse off mud after riding and inspect the plastic and mounting points for cracks or abrasion. Regularly check that the guard remains secure and has enough clearance from the tyre. Replace damaged fastenings or a torn guard promptly. Store it without sharp folds and follow the manufacturer’s installation guidance.
