Ortovox Peak 42 S

No summit too high, no path too far: the PEAK 42 S is a multifunctional high-alpine backpack for demanding alpinists with a short back length who are looking for a robust, versatile and comfortable backpack for every eventuality. The wide, padded shoulder and hip straps and the close-fitting, full-contact back with metal stays of the unique SWISSWOOL 3D BACK SYSTEM, which distributes the load evenly across the back, provide high carrying comfort. For optimal climate regulation at the contact surfaces, the back, shoulder and hip straps are lined with a SWISSWOOL wool fleece that reliably absorbs water vapour and dries quickly. The PEAK 42 S also scores with a separate safety compartment, numerous attachment options for rope, ice axe, helmet, skis, snowboard and poles, and a side crampon compartment. In the interest of sustainability, the two main outer materials are made of 100 % and 50 % recycled polyamide, which makes the backpack extremely robust, resilient and durable. The PEAK 42 S thus brings great freedom to the mountain and is a reliable companion for every high-alpine or ski tour.

SWISSWOOL: We have used SWISSWOOL, the wool fibre from Switzerland, as an insulation material since 2011. As a sustainable wool of regional origin, it has excellent thermal properties even when wet, is easy to care for and offers optimal climate comfort.
