strong and light: the ortles HMS S carabiner is made from high-strength aluminum and comes in a compact size that fits well in your hand yet provides maximum space for multiple knots when multi-pitch climbing. thanks to the special design, the locking carabiner has a larger bearing surface for the rope: on the one hand for a long service life, on the other hand for optimal, frictionless securing. at the same time, the snap opens as wide as possible and guarantees ideal rope handling. the high-quality, spring-loaded snap closure closes securely, while the extremely fast screw closure is extremely precise, solid and pleasant to use. additionally, the narrow, tapered keylock nose prevents the carabiner from getting caught when clipping and unclipping on slings, rope or hooks.
