Salomon X Ultra 5 Gore-Tex Wanderschuhe Men black coffee / walnut

The men's Salomon X Ultra 5 GORE-TEX is a low-cut walking shoe for day hikes and varied paths. This Black Coffee/Walnut/Arabian Spice colourway combines dark brown shades with warmer accents. It suits walkers looking for freedom of movement together with a supportive sole construction for outings in changeable weather.

The Matryx upper is designed around durability. A GORE-TEX construction adds weather protection, while the profiled Contagrip outsole provides contact with the ground. The chassis supports the foot through the sole area. Heel-to-toe drop is eleven millimetres. The low collar leaves the ankle room to move, and the lacing adjusts the fit around the foot. Match the tread and your choice of shoe to the routes you plan to walk.

Try both shoes with suitable walking socks. Check heel hold uphill and toe room downhill. A short test on different surfaces helps assess the fit. After an outing, remove dirt and stones from the tread. Clean the upper gently and let the shoes dry at room temperature. Inspect the sole, lacing and seams regularly. Water can enter over a low collar in wet conditions, so coordinate footwear, trousers and the weather as part of planning your walk.
