The Meindl Malta Walker Boa in Brown is a men's leisure shoe for everyday wear, travel and easy paths. Part of the Comfort fit Power Walker range, it combines understated styling with an adjustable closure. If you want footwear for regular walks or active days away from home, try it with the socks you usually wear.

This brown version uses waxed nubuck leather for the upper. A GORE-TEX lining provides waterproof, breathable weather protection. The Comfort fit last offers room around the ball of the foot while aiming for a secure heel fit. Whether that shape suits your own feet is something to assess carefully during fitting.

The BOA dial allows fine adjustment of the closure tension. An AIR-ACTIVE Wellness Sport footbed complements the softly cushioned Meindl Comfort fit Wellness Walking Soft-Step sole. Meindl lists a weight of 430 g for model 5596-10. As you walk, check for sufficient forefoot room and a heel that stays seated without noticeable lifting.

Adjust the closure evenly and avoid excessive pressure over the instep. Remove loose dirt after wear and let damp shoes air thoroughly. Use care products suitable for waxed nubuck and GORE-TEX footwear, following the manufacturer's instructions for the leather, lining and closure system. Take a shorter trial walk before committing to a longer day on your feet.
