Colltex Hexagon Tail-Hooks

Colltex Hexagon Tail-Hooks are adjustable plastic tail hooks for a compatible Hexagon climbing-skin tail attachment. They hook onto the ski tail and allow adjustment of the attachment on the matching strap. Select this version according to your existing tail-attachment system and the shape of your ski tail.

Compare the existing system and strap

Before replacement, check that the tail hook suits your existing Hexagon attachment and climbing skin. Also inspect the condition of the strap and the ski-tail shape. The adjustable hook is intended to work with the corresponding components. Follow Colltex's guidance for choosing and assembling this system.

Check the fit before a tour

Adjust the tail attachment according to the manufacturer's instructions and check that the hook is seated correctly on the ski tail. Inspect its connection to the strap and the rest of the skin at the same time. Repeat the check before a tour and after transport that may have disturbed the adjustment. Keep the parts clean and ask a specialist retailer to check the fit if you cannot identify the existing system confidently.
