Toko Thermo Cork

TOKO Thermo Cork is a hand-held polishing cork for ski and snowboard preparation. It is intended for working in rub-on, paste and liquid waxes. Its combination of cork and special felt material supports manual treatment of a suitable wax layer.

Working surface and purpose

The felt material warms through friction generated during rubbing, helping work the intended wax into the prepared base surface. Thermo Cork has no electrical drive and requires no power cable. Select it for the wax and recommended application method.

Not every hot wax can be processed by corking alone. Before use, check that the chosen product is intended for this preparation step. The wax instructions also determine the necessary preparation and any subsequent brushing or polishing.

Use and care

Clean and dry the intended base area. Work with controlled pressure and keep the cork's contact surface clean. Remove loose residue from the workplace regularly. Classic cross-country skis have separate glide and kick zones that require different treatment.

After application, store the polishing cork dry and protected from dirt. Inspect the felt material before the next use. Avoid using a contaminated contact surface for a clean finishing step so that old residue is not transferred into the fresh wax layer. Match the complete working sequence to the wax and equipment.
