Toko Base Brush oval Horsehair

The TOKO Base Brush Oval Horsehair is an oval hand brush for ski-base preparation. Its very soft horsehair bristles are intended for fine brushing after waxing, helping expose even fine base structures. Its large bristle surface and adjustable hand strap help with controlled handling during manual work.

Bristles and shape

• Bristle material: horsehair.
• Bristle length: 10 mm.
• Oval bristle surface: 92 × 180 mm.
• Adjustable hand strap.

The horsehair brush can follow a copper brush within an appropriate brushing sequence. Choose the brush for the wax, base condition and preparation step. The bristle surface describes the working area rather than the overall external length of the handle.

Use and keep clean

Secure the ski in a suitable fixture with the base easy to reach. Brush in a controlled way and remove loosened particles from the working area regularly. Follow the recommended sequence for the waxes and tools being used. Avoid unnecessary pressure and inspect the result as you work.

Remove wax residue and dirt from the bristles. Store the brush dry and without keeping the bristles pressed down or bent. Keep the hand strap clean and check its fit before the next use. A clean brush helps prevent residue that has already been removed from being transferred back onto the base during a later preparation step.
