Swix T88 Pencil Groove Scraper

The Swix T88 Pencil Groove Scraper removes glide wax from the centre groove of cross-country skis. Its narrow working shape reaches the channel in the middle of the ski and complements the scraper used on the rest of the base. It is a practical addition when wax has collected inside the groove during base preparation.

For different groove widths

Swix describes the T88 as suitable for different groove widths. Select the working surface that matches your ski's groove and check the fit before scraping. Guide the tool carefully along the channel without allowing it to catch or twist. Remove collected wax from the scraper as you work to keep its contact surface clear.

Complete your base-care routine

After scraping, inspect the groove for visible wax residue and repeat the pass where needed. Continue preparing the rest of the base according to the wax instructions and your ski manufacturer's care guidance. Store the groove scraper clean, and check it for dirt or damage to its working surfaces before its next use.
