Swix T87 Groove and all Purpose Scraper

SWIX T87 Groove and All Purpose Scraper is a hand-held tool for ski preparation. The plastic scraper combines different working profiles for the base, groove and wax residue. It can spread klister and remove old wax or klister before cleaning. Choose the scraper for the preparation step, wax and shape of the surface being worked.

Preparation and use

Choose the tool profile that matches the groove or surface. Remove coarse wax and klister residue before using a suitable base cleaner. Secure the ski or snowboard and keep the working area clean. Remove loosened residue regularly so that it does not become trapped between the tool and base. Use controlled pressure and inspect the treated surface as you work.

Using a wax scraper is different from repairing or grinding a base. Larger damage or uncertain conditions call for an appropriate assessment before more material is removed. Use the tool only for its intended role and match the working sequence to the particular equipment.

Clean and store

Remove wax and klister residue after use. Keep working edges and profile surfaces clean and protect them from unnecessary knocks during storage. Inspect the scraper before the next use. A damaged or heavily contaminated edge makes controlled handling more difficult. Match subsequent cleaning and brushing steps to the care products being used, keeping dirty tools separate from clean finishing equipment.
