Swix T0424 Structure Roller Tool

SWIX T0424 Structure Roller Tool is a hand-held structure tool for cross-country skis. It is used as a final step after waxing, scraping and brushing, pressing an appropriate hand structure into the prepared glide surface.

Tool and contents

Version T0424 is supplied with a 1.0 mm linear structure roller. The rollers have ball bearings and can be changed. An arrow on the tool indicates the intended working direction. Select further compatible rollers separately; this individual tool differs from the T0424S set containing multiple rollers.

The manufacturer also describes using compatible T0410 rollers with this handle. Choose the structure and roller for the snow conditions and existing base structure. A hand structure complements an appropriate preparation sequence rather than replacing necessary base service.

Use and clean

Secure the ski and work in the indicated direction. Before starting, check that the roller is securely fitted and runs freely. Keep the tool and glide surface free from dirt and coarse wax particles.

According to the manufacturer, the imprint disappears after hot waxing again. Clean the roller after use and store the tool dry and protected from knocks. Inspect the roller attachment and bearings before the next use so that the tool remains ready for controlled preparation.
