Swix Handle white cork urethan 16mm

The Swix Handle white cork urethan 16mm is a replacement grip for cross-country poles with a round shaft and a diameter of 16 mm. Its gripping area is made from cork-filled thermoplastic. Swix highlights the material’s insulating properties and resistance to wear. We offer this white version as a pair containing two grips.

Check the shaft and strap

The shaft diameter at the handle fitting is the key measurement when choosing a replacement. Compare the stated 16 mm diameter and round cross-section with your existing pole. Swix lists Pro Fit 3D and X-Fit as compatible straps for this handle model. Check your existing strap and its attachment as well when replacing a previous grip.

Replacement and inspection

This model is glued onto the pole shaft. Follow the requirements of the components involved when removing the old handle and fitting the replacement. A specialist shop can check that the shaft fitting and strap are compatible and carry out the replacement. Before your next training session, check that the fitted handle is firmly secured and the strap is attached correctly. Replacing a worn grip can then let you continue using an otherwise suitable pole.
