START Grip Tape Sport HF is a grip wax tape for classic cross-country skiing. Rather than applying grip wax freely to the ski, the tape is worked into the designated grip zone. This version is offered in a five-metre length with a stated temperature range of −1°C to −20°C. Manufacturer reference 209226 identifies the HF version and distinguishes it from other Grip Tape products.

Selection and use

First check that your skis are intended for this type of grip-zone preparation. Mark the appropriate zone and prepare it as directed on the packaging. Apply the tape evenly and keep the glide surfaces outside the grip zone clean. Suitability on the trail depends on snow type, moisture and ski setup as well as temperature, so assess the result under the actual conditions.

Care and inspection

Protect the remaining tape from dirt and store it closed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Inspect the grip zone after use and remove or renew residue only with a suitable method. Observe the application and handling information on the packaging.
