Uvex Skibrille Speedy nova pink dl/lasergold-cear

The Uvex Speedy nova in Pink is a children’s ski goggle with an orange-tinted Lasergold lens. This version uses a cylindrical single lens. Uvex specifies filter category S2 and a visible light transmission of 42 percent. The tint is intended for medium light levels, so choose it with the actual conditions on the slope in mind.

The lens provides UV protection up to 400 nm. Its Supravision anti-fog coating helps maintain a clear view, while the orange tint can make contours easier to distinguish in diffuse light. Fogging also depends on ventilation and moisture. Keep the ventilation areas clear when wearing the goggles.

A flexible frame and soft foam contact surface help the goggles sit against the face. The 35 mm silicone-coated strap helps keep them in position on a helmet. Uvex lists a weight of 84 g. Try the goggles together with the child’s helmet: the frame should sit comfortably without pressing on the nose or unnecessarily restricting the field of view.

Allow the goggles to dry after skiing and store them where the lens is protected from scratches. Follow Uvex’s care instructions when cleaning so that the coated inner lens surface is not damaged.
