The uvex Speedy Nova in black with a Lasergold lens is a children’s ski goggle. Manufacturer reference S5538612030 identifies this version. Its orange-tinted cylindrical single lens supports contrast perception in changing light on the piste. A flexible frame and soft face foam form the contact area against the face.
Uvex specifies a light transmission of 42% for the Lasergold lens. According to the manufacturer, it provides UVA, UVB and UVC protection up to 400 nm. A supravision anti-fog coating complements the lens. The 35 mm strap has silicone grippers to help maintain its position on a helmet. Fit also depends on face shape and helmet design, so try the two together and adjust the strap length carefully.
Check that the frame sits comfortably and ventilation remains unobstructed. The goggles should not restrict vision through pressure or poor positioning. Treat the inner lens surface particularly gently to preserve the coating. Remove dirt following uvex’s care instructions and allow damp goggles to dry completely before putting them away. Store them where the lens is protected from scratches and regularly inspect the lens, foam and strap for damage or wear.
