Zag Ubac 89 Lady 2026/27

Zag Ubac 89 Lady 2026/27

The Ubac 89 is the fearless explorer of the range. With its balanced size and lightweight construction, it takes you ever further and higher without failing, even in the most demanding terrain. Its grip and stiff flex provide instant stability and confidence, and it can unleash all its power with refined control. A ski that combines safety and stability and turns every run into an exhilarating and comfortable adventure.

CONSTRUCTION

  • LIGHT: A single goal: to give skiers a light and comfortable ski for every snow. This is achieved by combining glass and carbon fibres, which makes the skis of the Freerando range twice as torsionally rigid. The paulownia wood core adds a few extra grams without compromising the snow feel and long-term durability of the material, as a foam core would. The ABS edges and the high-strength steel edges ensure that this ski withstands the shocks and knocks it can be exposed to all winter long. A construction that allows freeriders to ski with confidence!
  • SEMI CAP: The SEMI CAP sandwich construction enables optimal power transmission across the ski and gives the skier the grip needed even on the hardest snow. The durability of the skis is also extended by the ABS edges (increased resistance to cold and impact).

ROCKERS & CAMBERS

  • ROCKER: Heel rocker "15%" / Spatula rocker "25%"
  • CAMBERS: Moderate camber

SHAPE

  • SHAPE IN 5 POINTS: A special shape that increases the ski's manoeuvrability without raising the rocker values too much (which can cause vibrations). The closer the widest points of the ski are to the centre, the shorter and more playful the ski becomes.
  • MULTI-RADIUS SHAPE: A method of designing a ski in which the radii are varied in several independent zones (front, middle, rear). This allows a very short radius underfoot (increased manoeuvrability) while the ends stay forgiving in difficult snow.
  • RADIUS: Medium radius

FLEX

  • TORSIONAL RIGIDITY:  A stiff flex provides good grip on icy terrain.
  • STIFFNESS: 4/5

Which ski length suits me?

The right length depends on the model, intended use, body measurements and ability. For Nordic skis, body weight and suitable flex are especially important.

Check before choosing

  • Compare only lengths supported by the reviewed guidance for this model.
  • Consider your ability and intended use. For touring, also consider whether ascent or descent matters more to you.
  • Check ski, binding and boot compatibility separately.

Touring skis

Frequently asked questions

Advice on choosing touring skis, bindings and climbing skins.

  • How do I check what is included and choose bindings?

Check the product description to find out whether bindings are included and which model comes with the offer. Clarify any uncertainties with us before choosing additional bindings.

  • How do I choose touring ski length?

Alongside your height and skiing ability, consider the balance between climbing and descending. Weight, waist width and construction affect how the ski performs. A personal recommendation takes your terrain and touring style into account.

  • What needs to match for bindings and skins?

Check the ski, binding and boot specifications for the exact combination. Pin bindings require suitable boot inserts. Skins must match the ski in length, width and attachment; ski crampons must suit the binding system and ski width. Check the product details and clarify any uncertainties before buying.
