Description
The Ubac 108 is the weapon for the time after a storm. In deep snow it unleashes its full temperament: acceleration, intense feel, absolute glide. When every turn counts and time is short, it's there. Because powder days are rare, they deserve to be lived with the best.

CONSTRUCTION

  • LIGHT: One single goal: to give skiers a light and comfortable ski for any snow. This is achieved by combining fiberglass and carbon fibers, which makes the skis in the freerando series twice as torsionally stiff. The Paulownia wood core adds a few extra grams without compromising the snow feel and long-term durability of the material, as it would with a foam core. ABS edges and high-strength steel edges ensure this ski can withstand the bumps and impacts it will encounter all winter long. A construction that allows freeriders to ski safely!
  • SEMI CAP: The SEMI CAP sandwich construction enables optimal power transfer across the ski and gives the skier the necessary grip even on the hardest snow types. The durability of the skis is also extended by the ABS edges (increased cold and impact resistance).

ROCKERS & CAMBERS

  • ROCKER: Rocker heel "30%" / Rocker tip "40%"
  • CAMBERS: Moderate arch

SHAPE

  • SHAPE IN 5 POINTS: A special shape that increases the agility of the ski without overly increasing the rocker values (which can lead to vibration). The closer the widest points of the ski are to the center, the shorter and more playful the ski becomes.
  • MULTI-RADIAL SHAPE: A method of designing a ski in which the radii vary in several independent areas (front, middle, rear). This allows for a very short radius under the foot (increased agility), while the ends remain forgiving in difficult snow.
  • RADIUS: Long radius

FLEX

  • FLEX: A rather stiff flex underfoot that becomes softer at the ends for a better feel when powdering.
  • STIFFNESS: 4/5

Frequently asked questions

Advice on choosing touring skis, bindings and climbing skins.

  • How do I check what is included and choose bindings?

Check the product description to find out whether bindings are included and which model comes with the offer. Clarify any uncertainties with us before choosing additional bindings.

  • How do I choose touring ski length?

Alongside your height and skiing ability, consider the balance between climbing and descending. Weight, waist width and construction affect how the ski performs. A personal recommendation takes your terrain and touring style into account.

  • What needs to match for bindings and skins?

Check the ski, binding and boot specifications for the exact combination. Pin bindings require suitable boot inserts. Skins must match the ski in length, width and attachment; ski crampons must suit the binding system and ski width. Check the product details and clarify any uncertainties before buying.
