The Shine SC Carbon comes with a moderate tip rocker, a carbon setup with a Titanal band and a slightly widened tip. The rather technical and light setup offers fantastic ride characteristics for lively turns on the piste. Also worth mentioning is the new topsheet made from recycled plastic, which allows us to reduce the ski's carbon footprint without compromising performance. The Shine SC Carbon is simply made for fast, sharp turns on the piste. In combination with the Full Sidewall, the Multilayer Woodcore and the Titanal band, it offers the comfort and control you need. The tip rocker supports agility, especially when initiating turns. An advanced skiing level doesn't hurt, but every ambitious carving skier will be thrilled by the liveliness and agility with which the carbon version of the Shine carves from one edge to the next. TECHNOLOGIES
- Tip Rocker: Curved upwards only in the tip area, while the middle and tail of the ski are pre-tensioned.
- Tailored Carbon Tips: With the new, tailored carbon tips, the Tailored Carbon Tips, this innovative manufacturing process embroiders the individual carbon fibres onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the lines of force, which opens up completely new possibilities, particularly in the tip area. It has a decisive influence on how the ski handles. Through the fibre thickness and millimetre-precise alignment, the stiffness, the torsion and therefore the handling can be adjusted in a targeted way. In this way, the fibres channel the dynamics into the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile tip entry into the turn with less effort and build up energy quickly. This takes the tailored carbon tips to a new level of precision, direct tip response and active riding pleasure.
- Titanal Band: The use of Titanal dampens impacts but at the same time increases the ski's sporty liveliness and allows a relatively lightweight construction.
- Full Sidewall / Mini Cap: Full sidewall construction with an overlapping mini cap for the best durability.
- 3D. Glass: Compared with classic glass constructions, the three-dimensional, multi-folded glass layers in the tip and tail area provide improved edge grip and more dynamic rebound behaviour in turns.
- Base P-TEX 2100: Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties.
- Zebra Structure: The Zebra structure was developed for the highest precision on the piste and features a deep, high-resolution base pattern tailored specifically to narrower skis fitted with a binding system. This aggressive structure ensures lightning-fast, reliable turn initiation and smooth, controlled drifting for maximum carving performance.
- Serial Finish: Straight from the factory to the piste: with the "Serial Finish", every ski is tuned perfectly for instant performance. This precisely executed surface treatment maximises gliding comfort, ensures more precise turn initiation and makes additional preparation unnecessary.
- Multilayer Woodcore: The sidewall continues into the interior of the ski in the form of directly backed, extremely stable layers of wood along the flanks of the sandwich core. Combined with a more flexible, lighter wood in the middle of the sandwich core, this construction brings numerous benefits: the hardwood content within the sidewall provides increased power transmission, contributes to better edge grip and supports the edge against external impact. The softwood content in the middle of the ski is lighter, giving more agility and manoeuvrability. The combination of both types of wood along the entire length of the ski contributes to an optimal stiffness distribution and enables more precise ski control. The construction offers highly sporty skiers a combination of manoeuvrability and stability, which can also win the decisive hundredths of a second between victory and defeat.
