The Racetiger SL brings real slalom power to every piste, precisely engineered for powerful short turns and top-level performance.

Introduced in 1970 as the Renntiger, the Racetiger SL has been the epitome of explosive slalom performance for decades. It shows its strengths wherever lightning-fast edge changes, maximum responsiveness and absolute precision are required.

The new generation gets a revised SL sidecut that allows even tighter, more dynamic radii. The optimised TFP Layer increases power transmission and improves edge grip, while the Tailored Torsion Woodcore fine-tunes the torsional behaviour, for a particularly fast, effortless turn initiation and high stability throughout the entire turn. Thanks to Feel the Fibre, the feedback becomes more direct and intuitive, so the ski can be steered even more precisely with less effort.

A short, flat tip rocker supports instant turn-in, while the SL geometry delivers maximum precision in tight radii. 3D Glass, two layers of Titanal and the proven multilayer wood core provide stability, grip and explosive slalom performance. In combination with the R-Motion 3 GW binding system, the result is a highly precise, responsive setup.

Tip Rocker: Character: Curved upwards only in the tip area, while the middle and tail of the ski are pre-tensioned.

Tailored Torsion Woodcore: A precisely tuned mix of solid wood and laminate. The increased torsional stiffness in the tip and tail areas ensures direct turn initiation, stability at high speeds and powerful energy release, while the smoother middle section provides harmony, control and effortless transitions from carving to drift.

Tailored Carbon Tips: With the new, tailored carbon tips, the Tailored Carbon Tips, this innovative manufacturing process embroiders the individual carbon fibres onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the lines of force, which opens up completely new possibilities, particularly in the tip area. It has a decisive influence on how the ski handles. Through the fibre thickness and millimetre-precise alignment, the stiffness, the torsion and therefore the handling can be adjusted in a targeted way. In this way, the fibres channel the dynamics into the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile tip entry into the turn with less effort and build up energy quickly. This takes the tailored carbon tips to a new level of precision, direct tip response and active riding pleasure.

Full Sidewall ABS: The specific synthetic material of the sidewall enables precise and direct power transmission.

Full Titanal: Titanal in the ski construction makes the ski lively and dynamic. Fans of a hard, fast and aggressive style of skiing in particular benefit from the responsiveness of this construction.

3D.GLASS: Compared with classic fibreglass constructions, the three-dimensional, multi-folded fibreglass layers in the tip and tail area provide increased edge grip and livelier rebound behaviour in turns. 

Base P-Tex 4504: Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with extremely high density. P-Tex 4504 is not only particularly wear-resistant, it also offers the best wax absorption and is extremely fast. At Völkl, this base is used exclusively on our top models and race skis. The material composition has been refined with special additives. This produces thermal and electrical conductivity that consistently achieves top values in terms of gliding and speed properties.
