Size help

Which ski length suits me?

The right length depends on the model, intended use, body measurements and ability. For Nordic skis, body weight and suitable flex are especially important.

A reviewed size recommendation is not yet available for this model. Use the measuring guide to prepare, then ask our team for help choosing.

Check before choosing

  • Compare only lengths supported by the reviewed guidance for this model.
  • Consider your ability and intended use. For touring, also consider whether ascent or descent matters more to you.
  • Check ski, binding and boot compatibility separately.

Measure your height and weight

Stand upright against a wall without shoes and measure from the floor to the top of your head.
  1. Stand against a wall without shoes, looking straight ahead.
  2. Ask someone to measure from the floor to the top of your head in centimetres.
  3. Check your current weight. For Nordic skis, use the weight range and flex for the exact model.

A confirmed manufacturer chart is not yet available for this model. Please ask our team to check the right size.

Description

If you are looking for the feel of a World Cup racer, pure precision, power and reliability in every single turn, the Racetiger GS MASTER will make your dreams come true!

With a World Cup ash wood core, phenolic sidewalls, layered carbon tips, two full layers of titanal and a carbon band, it stands for a superb combination of sportiness, dynamics and smoothness, and features the best materials and technologies ski building currently has to offer.

One highlight is the combined use of phenolic sidewalls and a carbon band in a highly complex construction. The phenolic sidewalls give the ski unrivalled smoothness and edge precision. The carbon band running from tip to tail in the middle of the ski works the other way and makes the ski livelier and more dynamic. This combination of materials means that complete composure and maximum dynamics are no longer a contradiction.

In addition to the carbon band, this ski of course also has our Tailored Carbon Tips. The position and length of the carbon fibres in the tip give the ski an even more direct tip response and faster flex and energy build-up in the front part of the ski.

This lets the World Cup ash wood core play to its strengths as an energy store and dynamics booster even more. When the ski flexes at the start of the turn, the fibres stretch, absorb the tension energy and store it. At the end of the turn, this stored energy is released in a controlled way and gives the ski enormous dynamics.

This very sporty character is made accessible to skiers who aren't World Cup racers by a regular sidecut with a radius of 17.5 m at a ski length of 178 cm.

Perfectly rounded off with 3D Glass, two full layers of titanal and our updated Marker Worldcup Interface 10mm plate, this ski will make a World Cup racer's dreams come true.

SKI PROFILE

TIP ROCKER

Character: only the tip is turned up, while the middle and tail of the ski have camber.

CORE

WORLDCUP ASH WOODCORE

A technical highlight with a big impact on how the ski rides is the high-quality solid ash core running the full length of the ski. This particularly elastic hardwood is used in our race skis for World Cup athletes and even in the Master models, and it acts as an energy store: as the ski flexes at the start of the turn, the fibres stretch, absorb the tension energy and store it. At the end of the turn this stored energy is released in a controlled way, giving the ski enormous dynamics. Thanks to the specific stretch behaviour of ash, the ski also adapts perfectly to the snow. The result is maximum stability and reliability and a particularly smooth ride.

GLASS / CARBON

CARBON BAND

The carbon construction offers the optimal combination of low weight, best durability and very sporty ride characteristics.

3D.GLASS

Compared with classic fibreglass constructions, the three-dimensional, multiply folded fibreglass layers in the tip and tail give more edge grip and a livelier rebound in turns.

3D fibreglass integrated into the tip and tail of the ski

‣ Flat fibreglass under the binding, which makes the middle softer. Variable turning behaviour at any speed.

Fibreglass above the sidewall:

‣ Gives extra support for outstanding edge grip on icy slopes.

Vertical fibreglass in tip & tail:

‣ More pop for faster edge-to-edge transitions.

TIP & TAIL TECHNOLOGY

TAILORED CARBON TIPS

For the new Tailored Carbon Tips, an innovative manufacturing process embroiders the individual carbon fibres onto a backing material. This lets them be positioned exactly along the lines of force, which opens up completely new possibilities, especially at the tip, because the tip has a decisive influence on how the ski rides. Fibre thickness and millimetre-precise alignment let stiffness, torsion and therefore the ride characteristics be tuned precisely. The fibres channel the dynamics to the parts of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow agile tip engagement with less effort and build up energy quickly. This takes the tailored carbon tips to a new level of precision, direct tip response and active riding fun.

METAL

FULL TITANAL

Titanal in the ski construction makes the ski lively and dynamic. Skiers who like a hard, fast and aggressive style benefit most from the quick response of this construction.

SIDEWALL

FULL SIDEWALL PHENOL

The special surface structure combined with the material composition reduces icing because the snow simply slides off. This drastically reduces the weight in use, by up to 20 to 30% on average. The lighter skis make long and steep climbs in particular easier.

BASE MATERIAL

BASE P-TEX 4504

Sintered, ultra-high-molecular polyethylene base with extremely high density. P-Tex 4504 is not only particularly wear-resistant but also absorbs wax best and is extremely fast. At Völkl this base is used exclusively on our top models and race skis. The material composition has been refined with special additives. This creates thermal and electrical conductivity that consistently achieves top values for glide and speed.

PLATE TECHNOLOGY

MARKER WORLDCUP PLATE

The interface of the pro riders. Thanks to the integrated Piston Control oil damper, even the smallest amount of energy is turned into speed. The interface is of course also compatible with Marker Comp bindings.

TOP SHEET

FULLY STRUCTURED

From tip to tail, Fully Structured bases feature a continuous, high-traction pattern that amplifies speed, edge grip, and control. Designed for skiers who demand all-condition versatility with race-inspired responsiveness.

Frequently asked questions

Advice on choosing your alpine skis and matching bindings.

  • Which binding is included?

    COMP 16

The binding identified in the product details is included in this offer. Boot compatibility and the required adjustment must be checked for the specific combination.

  • Which ski length is right for me?

Your height, weight, skiing ability and preferred turns determine the appropriate length. Consider the model description and the available lengths. Our team can help you choose.

  • What matters when choosing bindings?

Skis with system bindings require the intended binding system. For skis supplied without bindings, the ski, binding and boot must work together. Have the specific combination checked before choosing individual components.
