With the revised Mantra 88, Völkl offers a mid-width model with modern features that hits the core of current demand: the greatest possible versatility between piste and open terrain, and powerful turns in all snow conditions. Redefined in the course of its development, the new Mantra 88 comes with Völkl's innovative technologies and now impresses with more dynamics, pop and accessibility. Among other things, the fibres of the Tailored Carbon Tips have been re-laid and contribute to improved agility and ride dynamics. The radii of the 3D Radius sidecut have also been adjusted, underlining the flexibility of the technology. The middle radius directly under the skier's foot has been shortened by another metre and contributes to the Mantra 88's improved radius variability, for an energy-saving yet sporty style of skiing with full control on groomed pistes and more manoeuvrability in challenging terrain.

• Tip & Tail Rocker: Rocker only in the tip and tail areas, pre-tension in the binding area
• Multilayer Woodcore: The sidewall continues into the interior of the ski in the form of directly backed, extremely stable layers of wood along the flanks of the sandwich core. Combined with a more flexible, lighter wood in the middle of the sandwich core, this construction brings numerous benefits: the hardwood content within the sidewall provides increased power transmission, contributes to better edge grip and supports the edge against external impact. The softwood content in the middle of the ski is lighter, giving more agility and manoeuvrability. The combination of both types of wood along the entire length of the ski contributes to an optimal stiffness distribution and enables more precise ski control. The construction offers highly sporty skiers a combination of manoeuvrability and stability, which can also win the decisive hundredths of a second between victory and defeat.
• Tailored Carbon Tips: With the new, tailored carbon tips, the Tailored Carbon Tips, this innovative manufacturing process embroiders the individual carbon fibres onto a carrier material. This allows them to be positioned exactly along the lines of force, which opens up completely new possibilities, particularly in the tip area. It has a decisive influence on how the ski handles. Through the fibre thickness and millimetre-precise alignment, the stiffness, the torsion and therefore the handling can be adjusted in a targeted way. In this way, the fibres channel the dynamics into the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile tip entry into the turn with less effort and build up energy quickly. This takes the tailored carbon tips to a new level of precision, direct tip response and active riding pleasure.
• Tailored Titanal Frame: Our new key technology is called Tailored Titanal Frame. Unlike the previous construction, the width of the Titanal frame is now adapted exactly to each individual ski length. This creates tailor-made Tailored Titanal Frames, which sit above the sidewall in the tip and tail areas and provide the desired damping and torsional stiffness there. The size of the frames is matched to the skier's height, ability and strength. This means that longer models have a higher proportion of Titanal for more stiffness, even more direct power transmission and stronger damping. The shorter the model, the lower the proportion of Titanal, which makes the ski more manoeuvrable, so that smaller and lighter skiers can also use the full variability of the ski with less effort. The result: Tailored Titanal Frame technology gives every ski an unrivalled combination of liveliness and stability at speed.
• 3D Radius Sidecut: Three radii in one ski for maximum edge angle and speed.
• Full Sidewall ABS: The specific synthetic material of the sidewall enables precise and direct power transmission.
• Base P-TEX 2100: Sintered, ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties.
• Brushed: A flat and narrow structure suits wide skis and their larger contact surface. Designed for optimal manoeuvrability with less catching and lighter, smoother turning characteristics.
• Serial Finish: Straight from the factory to the piste: with the "Serial Finish", every ski is tuned perfectly for instant performance. This precisely executed surface treatment maximises gliding comfort, ensures more precise turn initiation and makes additional preparation unnecessary.

In-stock items usually ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 working days. If the item is in stock in one of our stores, you can also pick it up there free of charge. In Pfronten this also works for items that are only in stock in Ronsberg: we bring them over, which usually takes 2 to 4 days. The pickup note above and the checkout show where and when you can pick up.
