Völkl Mantra 84 W 2025/26
Goes with it
Description
The completely redesigned Mantra 84 W is designed for athletic female skiers who prefer prepared slopes but can't deny their passion for freeriding. Its 3D-radius sidecut makes turning both on the slope and in the terrain easy and playful. Longer radii at the tail and tip enable outstanding maneuverability at high speeds and wide turns. The new Mantra 84 W benefits from innovative Völkl Tailored Carbon Tips: individual carbon fibers are stitched onto a carrier material and positioned precisely along the load lines. Through millimeter-precise alignment and fiber thickness the drive characteristics of the Mantra 84 W are perfectly tuned for outstanding stability, especially given its light weight. Yet it also handles extreme demands effortlessly. Improved on-piste characteristics and the ability to occasionally venture off the prepared slopes make the ski even more attractive.

TECHNOLOGIES
- Multilayer Woodcore 1: The Multilayer Woodcore Light consists of a solid wood core with hardwood content in the screw area and extra-light wood in the outer areas. In the alpine segment the models benefit especially from weight reduction and enable fast, athletic turns.
- Tailored Carbon Tips & Tails: In this construction the carbon fibers are no longer installed as a uniform nonwoven but are integrated via stitching so the fiber alignment and thickness meet the functional requirements at each point on the ski. Since ski behavior is especially influenced by ski tip and tail, the carbon is especially concentrated in these areas. As a result the ski delivers noticeably more precise power transfer and can be steered dynamically and lively with minimal effort.
- Tailored Titanal Frame: Our new key technology is called Tailored Titanal Frame. Unlike previous construction the width of the titanal frame is now precisely matched to each individual ski length. This creates custom-fit Tailored Titanal Frames that sit over the side wall in the tip and tail areas of the ski delivering the desired dampening and torsional stiffness. The size of the frames is tailored to your body size, skiing ability and strength. That means longer models have higher titanal content for more stiffness, more direct power transfer and stronger dampening. The shorter the model the lower the titanal content making the ski more maneuverable so smaller and lighter skiers can access the full variability of the ski with less force. The result: Tailored Titanal Frame technology gives every ski an incomparable combination of liveliness and speed stability.
- 3D Radius Sidecut: Three radii in one ski for maximum turning joy and speed in all-mountain use. LONGER RADIUS IN THE TIP AND TAIL: The longer radii in tip and tail are ideal for wide turns and high speed. // Easy steering and maneuverability // Less catching of edges // No restriction on turn radius and easy exit from the turn. TIGHT INSIDE RADIUS: The tight radius in the middle favors tight turns and moderate speed. // Extremely easy turn initiation // Super sprightly // Effortless and smooth in tight turns
- Full Sidewall ABS: The specific synthetic material of the sidewall enables precise and direct power transfer.
- Base P-Tex 2100: Sintered, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance, and very good gliding properties.
- Tip & Tail Rocker: rockered only in the tip and tail areas with bias in the binding area
Performance overview
Fit for
Through millimeter-precise alignment and fiber thickness, the handling characteristics of the Mantra 84 W were perfectly tuned for outstanding stability, especially given its low weight. Yet it can also be heavily stressed without great effort.
